His mother was scottish and fell for a englishman, much richer but not that nicer. Nineteen years, one kid and God knows how many mistresses later she got sick of it, and moved back to her hometown in Scotland. Howard was only 17, so he had to go with her. He was a good kid, all things considered.

Then, life when exactly as planned: a solicitor, a wife, a kid, a divorce. And old and sickly mother, and he moves back in with her. They keep each other company this way. He becomes a name partner in a firm, and it doubles in size. He is known for his work ethics and the adorable english accent. But he wasn’t raised to settle for less, so he still wants more. And he will get it.
