evertonfc.com - The Official Website of Everton Football Club
Such a fitting tribute to two of the most important people in the history of our club. Their role in our most successful period of the mid-80s is enough to deserve such an honour but Howard was also a magnificent player for the club. We all have our favourite players and personalities but there is simply no disputing the contribution that both of these men made to Everton Football Club.
Dixie Dean deservedly has a statue and hopefully there will eventually be a fitting memorial for another Everton great, Harry Catterick.
But for now, well done Everton Football Club.
