Howe Bridge Climbing Walls
Yesterday I went to try out the new climbing walls and skate area at Howe Bridge Leisure Centre.
All I can say is it is AMAZING.
The variety of walls you can climb is brilliant and there is even a wall where you climb using pick axe like handles which is super hard but super fun.
There is also an indoor skate park where you can skate, scoot or BMX and a cool soft play area for smaller kids.
I spent 2 hours climbing yesterday and I achieved things I didn't think I could do but most of all it was great fun and I felt like I muscles like Captain America once I had finished.
I would recommend it to anyone , young or old - even my dad had a go !!
The walls they have are :
Commando assault -Make your way through the tyres and up the ropes.
Commando challenge - It’s a vertical rope wall to test body and mind.
Commando climb - It’s wheely tricky to make your way up the sheer face of tyres!
Fireman rescue - Make your way to the top of the burning building to be the hero of the day.
Frozen castle - It takes a cool head to scale this icy wall.
Galaxia - Stand on the edge of the universe as you scale the heights of the solar system.
Giant’s staircase - Take these stairs one giant leap at a time to reach the top.
Lightning strike - Climb the giant lightning bolt for an electrifying view from the summit.
Lunar landing - Clamber through the craters of the moon and defy gravity to get to the top.
Mirror image - Climb against a friend and watch their progress on this transparent wall.
Real rock challenge - This sheer rock face takes stamina to conquer.
Ringtastic - Use the loose rings to pull yourself up this wall.

The race - Identical walls side by side - but who will be the winner?
Tree House - This fairytale tree house is designed by local school pupil Lily Rowland. Climb through the branches to the clouds up in the sky.
