me: classic novels are basic af. what is this craze with 'classic' novels? i am not exactly sure what makes them so classic besides their age because classic novels are actually super boring!! pretentiously assumed to be conveying some great message about life but actually they just drag on FOREVER with abject scenery descriptions that don't actually contribute to the plot or make the book any more interesting. Great Gatsby made me want to die, Fitzgerald's writing is so vague like he doesn't even explain that Daisy is not literally crying over shirts, i just
ugh. like oh my chuck if one more white girl goes on about a green light imma quit it.
classic novels, man. like classical music, stressfully unmelodic and not really as amazing as people claim. please tell me i am not alone in this
also me: aight back the truck up out the driveway mate because you are the most hypocritical hypocrite thanks. why would you even read gatsby if you thought it was pretentious. as an aspiring author you're always silently hoping your stupid assbutt novel will reach classical standing, so how about we re-evaluate this unpopular opinion before smashing other great authors
me again: um excuse first of all i had to read gatsby for SCHOOL okay wiseguy, and also if you think fitzgerald is a 'great' writer then you need to go read a book. any book. seriously. get educated
poor follower: aight lets back off all the hate on classic novels thanks you uneducated clouts. I for one love classic novels
me: did i ask for your opinion
poor follower: actually ya did so get with it
also me: ding dong the witch is dead pay attention seriously
