Kaito had been resting on a high tree branch within the woods he claimed as his territory. These woods bordered a nearby village, which the humans tend to stay out of due to fear of the "evil demon who lives there."

White pointed ears perked on the top of his head that alerted him to the sound of footsteps approaching. The halfbreed perked a curious brow as he sat up, his ears swiveled to detect which direction the sound was coming from. 

Hopping down from the branch, he looked around cautiously to find who is trespassing in his woods. The sounds appeared to be coming from behind him, Kaito quickly turned to face the stranger, his white tail thrashing behind him. "Who's there?!"

It was one of the rare occasions that Kaito left his woods. The reason being, it was becoming quite a popular location, and the halfbreed did not like company at all. Being quite short due to his heritage, the wolfdog found that others often liked to bully him.

So he wandered to find a more safer location to bide his time until the intruders left the woods. He chose the wastelands far pass any village. Unfortunately, this caused him to bump into another demon. Kaito didn't even bother to try to hide or go unnoticed, afterall he could smell dog on this one so he knew, he was sniffed out long before they could even see each other.

"Didn't expect to find anyone this far out away from civilization.." he remarked, narrowing his eyes at the other.

Once again they were on his tail chasing him down with their pitch forks and torches. Kaito knows better than to kill a human, despite his hatred for them. Still, once again they were blaming him for a recent demon attack and this time, they were hunting him down.

Fortunately, Kaito is a lot faster than a mere human. However, an arrow in the leg was slowing him down as he was limping his way through the woods, still keeping a good pace and avoiding more arrows that threatened to strike him.

“Why won’t you idiots just listen? I did not attack your village!” He barked out at them, but they refused to listen and only fired more arrows in his direction.

The wolfdog barely got away unscathed and darted through the brush once more, hoping to find a cavern or a hollow tree to hide in.

Instead, he found another demon and accidentally crashed right into the white-haired half breed and fell to the ground next to him.
