It was late.

 InuYasha had departed since Kagome’s disappearance, leaving Shippou to Miroku and herself, with all but her sound asleep. Placing a chaste kiss pon the monk’s lips, does she try to swallow the oncoming tears. Stepping out from the hut, does slayer feel a tug at her kimono, looking down to see her feline companion, attempting to stop her from departing.

“ I love you Kirara, please, take care of them for me. Go to Kohaku. ”

The nekomata mews weakly, acknowledging her request but not pleased and watches her caretaker off.

But she knew he’d be about, with Rin having chosen to live within Kaede’s village, the Daiyoukai wouldn’t be far. 

“ Sesshoumaru ! ”

She calls for him.

the  corner  of  her  lips  quirked  slightly  up  to  form  a  weak  smile  ,  but  it  soon  disappeared  ;  the  memory  of  the  event  that  occurred  moments  earlier  replaying  in  her  mind  again.  as  a  hanyo  ,  she  possessed  abilities  human  kids  lacked.  physical  strength  being  one  of   them.  in  her  mind  ,  a  trait  inherited  from  her  father  after  observing  &  comparing  him  to  the  villagers.  &  although  she  wanted  to  take  his  words  with  pride  ,  the  memory  of  her  hurting  a  girl  from  the  village  because  she  couldn’t  control  her  strength  wouldn’t  allow  it.  she  felt  guilty..  &  even  ashamed.   ‘  father?  ’  she  called  ;  her  voice  low  but  clear  ;  chin  tilting  up  so  violet  eyes  could  meet  his.

‘  why  did  you  gifted  me  your  strength?  ’

            "sesshomaru?  I’m  surprised  to  see  you  out  here.”  she  hadn’t  been  expecting  to  cross  paths  with  the  daiyokai  this  far  out,  and  considering    the  fact  that  the  hayou  hadn’t  mentioned  even  the  slightest  possibility  of  his  brother  being    anywhere  within  the  area,  she  presumes  inuyasha  hadn’t  been  either.    sango  all  but  forces  herself  into  a  more  relaxed  stance  as  kirara  pokes  her  head  out  from  beneath  the  veil  of  the  taijiya‘s  hair  to  assess  the  situation.

“you are such a pain sometimes, father.” perhaps, in another universe, the rebellious hanyo would be more appreciative of a father ever watchful. so many after all lacked even that simple pleasure of knowing one was cared for by their parent, but for her it just proved tiresome. a bit annoying. as if he were saying he did not trust in her own ability to protect herself. it wasn’t a sif she were even in a dangerous area, she always stayed either within the territory sesshomaru lingered or the town in which her uncle, inuyahsa, lived. and to one such as herself, both seemed far too child proof for her tastes, a fire starving for the heat of hard fought battle never waning within.

“not to be mean to rin, but i’m not like my big sis. i can fight off any would be kidnappers or such ya know.”

「巫女」:: The miko looked at the youkai as he told her this, and tilted her head-trying to figure out the hidden meaning to his words...He’d always been cryptic...but this seemed like there was a lesson hidden in it somewhere...

                  Or there might not be...With Sesshoumaru-who knew? He could just be telling her what he knew as fact...or he could be telling her to run, or--well she didn’t really know. But it kind of sounded to her like he was on the verge of dissing his own kind...Though, to be honest, she knew Inuyasha had an issue with wolves--though more than likely it was just Kouga he had an issue with...But to her knowledge Sesshoumaru did not have an issue with his k9 brethren. 

                  After some much internal debate-that lasted, in reality, only a few moments-though felt like an eternity she peered at Sesshoumaru again she finally asked::

                                                                                                          “So--uh-should I be--scared...? Or are you trying to give me a moral?”

of  all  the  youkai  &  humans  in  the  territory  ,  he  was  the  last  living  being  she  had  expected  to  see.  &  at  work  of  all  places..  setsuna  pouted  ,  &  although  she  always  kept  her  emotions  to  herself  ,  she  didn’t  make  an  effort  to  hide  her  displeasure.  the  last  thing  she  needed  was  for  her  workmates  to  realize  her  identity.  ‘  father.  ’  she  acknowledged  him.

‘  what  are  you  doing  here?  ’
