How to become LIC agent: steps to cover the LIC agent recruitment process-
Find a LIC branch nearest to the residence. Meet the DO (development officer) of the area there. Then submit an application to the DO after filling it up.
The applicant needs to submit a few documents to the DO, which are - a mark sheet of the 10th/12th pass, photographs of passport size (recommended to carry a few extra copies), applicant’s Aadhar card or voter card as an ID proof and also as an address proof.
After the submission, the DO will interview the applicant. In a succession to that interview, the applicant will have to go through a 25-hour training program. This will be the first step toward the LIC agent job. In that program, the trainers will teach the applicant how to communicate with the customers and how to close a deal.
At last, the applicant has to pass an exam known as IRDA (Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority Exam) (IC 38) with at least 35% marks.
