His ears flickered, swiveling about as if seeking. He heard a small feet scurrying beneath the snow. Letting go of his hold of her hand, he dropped on all fours, his nose pressed close to the snow. He shuffled carefully, hoping not to frighten what was hidden. It was right... here! He acted on instinct, a small hop, muzzle piercing through the thick snow with a large snap. He lifted his noble head with nothing to show for it, only snow packed in his furry mane and jaws. With a growl, he spat, shaking vigorously of the snowflakes that nestled its way in his fur. He glared at the sound of scurrying rushing away, his opportunity missed only to hear her small giggling at his failure. A large snort from the wolf, flustered by his mistake. He won't miss a second time.
