Question

Who in the hecky decided that red, blue and green would represent hp, mp, and stamina respectfully. Like, in almost any video game it's just kind of a rule of thumb? Did one person just decide "hey motherfuckers, start making your bars these colors, or else" or was everyone just kind of like "yeah, that makes sense"

I'm looking for some genuine videogame history here. Please tell me the answer people of Tumblr!
