Sometimes I just sit back and wonder, how the HELL did you manage to write Hiding Place? It's beautiful, consistent, and the attention to detail is out of this world. I just discovered it a few months ago, so I'm sorry if you've talked about this before.

honestly, writing it was about half incredibly detailed schedules and outlines and timelines and researching for an hour just to get one little sentence right, and half of it was just adrenaline and staying up until five in the morning because i was on a roll. really all it came down to was being willing to read seven different accounts of the same day and piecing together what might have actually happened, and then figuring out what that means in the grand scheme of things within the actual storyline.
and it was actually supposed to be longer? sometimes i remember that and i’m like, wow, hello deathwish, sorry i didn’t pay more attention to you, but i had a life to get back to.
