The MK4 Volkswagen Golf R32 was built between 2002 and 2005, which means it’s basically old – but not forgotten. I have to admit I’m still partial to that Golf version, and it seems that the team at HPerformance is as well. The tuner went ahead and increased the power of the 3.2 liter VR6 engine hiding under the bonnet, enabling it to develop 550 hp. Impressed yet?
That made go from bored to excited in an instant, and the explanation behind all that power is that the team equipped the car with an HPA EFR550 turbo kit. HPerformance added other performance options as well, such as a water-cooled intake manifold and a new exhaust system, with 90 mm tail pipes and valve control.
Furthermore, the engine on this Volkswagen Golf R32 has also received new pistons and connecting rods, so that it won’t crumble under the forces and extra effort all that power brings along. Other features include a KW variant 2 coil-over system, H&R stablizers at all corners, as well as a set of dark 19″ HRE alloys. I’m happy with it!
