canon i & ii:

the thawed out shell of a hero. he's left the shield behind and has been working against the government for some time now, instead working under the radar as a spy - also known as the nomad. 

he has no allegiance to any organization, government or otherwise.

he isn't tightly wound or cold - in fact, quite the opposite. with a hearty laugh but a slow sense of humor, he likes to provide for his teammates and friends by bringing people together as a team.

powers: 

the star spangled man with a plan - steve rogers is known as captain america, someone others see as a symbol for unity, determination, and hope.

this is the guy in the spangly suit that we know and love. a patriot through and through.

the avengers are people he truly considers to be his family, whether or not they disagree. he sees them as friends, not coworkers, but is aware they don't share the same sentiment.

first and foremost, he’s an artist. he paints when he's busy, paints when he's bored, paints when he’s happy, and paints when he's upset. he's lucky if he sells anything - although he doesn't do it for the money.

steve’s a romantic, but always a realist at heart. things seem to come easily to him. he's content, but always looking for something.
