The grounds of Dundurn Castle in Hamilton, Ontario serve as the background for Ilya’s Moscow route and Shane and Hayden’s Montreal route during the running montages in episode 4.
HEATED RIVALRY WEEK 2026 DAY FOUR: Favorite Location - Saskatchewan Meeting Site
It may be cold in Saskatchewan, but it was also cold in Hamilton, Ontario when we visited the location that served as the place where Shane and Ilya first met (Burridge Gym at McMaster University).
HEATED RIVALRY WEEK 2026 DAY FOUR: Favorite Location - Relay Coffee Roasters
Relay in Hamilton, Ontario serves as the setting for Straw + Berry in episode 3. I did enjoy a Hollander Hot Chocolate while I was there. They also sell the Orange Cream City Seltzer from one of the commercials Shane films.
HEATED RIVALRY WEEK 2026 DAY FOUR: Favorite Location - Le Tambour Tavern
I had the pleasure of visiting Le Tambour Tavern in Hamilton, Ontario last weekend. The restaurant was featured in episodes four and five: where Shane meets Rose and where the hole and peg conversation takes place.
This was my absolute favorite filming location we visited. Vibes, food, and Heated Rivalry-themed cocktails were amazing.
