The first time I heard this song I started crying. I cried and my stomach was sick. It was beautiful. The sheer paradox, the disgust and distance in her voice.... Otčina moja, krásna si ako raj. Fatherland of mine, beautiful you are as a paradise. And yet. And yet you're filthy. Your white dress of mountains is covered in filth. The rivers sing you songs unheared by anyone else and yet you listen to that of money. Strong and full of love and life and yet you're rotting form the inside. Rotting from the top. And those who say it, well, those get killed.
