Size: Huge, much like a modern Sperm whale

Environment: Cold and Warm Oceans

In Mythika: Illhveli are evil, corrupted whales which spend their days terrorizing ships and other sea life for fun, the most notorious of these Devil Whales is the Hrosshvalur or Horse Whale, a terrible monster whale which uses its bulk as battering-ram to crush ships to pulp and then devour the victims that hit the water. Like a horse the Hrosshvalur has a mane, which is always blood red, said to be drained with the blood of all of its victims, though this is just a story. Hrosshvalur hate good-natured whales and often attack those in groups, crushing their bones until they die. Of all the whales the Hrosshvalur is the best jumper they can jump extremely high and then crush anything beneath them when they return to the water. Cetus is said to be the mother of all Illhveli whales and Hrosshvalur are often found near her lair.
