THE DURAST SITS HUNCHED UP IN HIS CELL , Morozova's journals spread out before him. The Darkling had allowed him that courtesy of course. He still had uses for David , even if he was currently too far gone to trust the durast. HIS SHOULDERS SHAKE - Genya's screams from the other day rattle in the back of his mind. Not once has he had a moment of silence. What he had witnessed had traumatized him , there was no other way to put it ; HE KNOWS SHE SUFFERS & WILL CONTINUE TO. He barely looks up at the sound of footsteps , Viktoriya's voice is both a comfort and a new added level of fear. "I am unharmed if that's what you mean. I wouldn't say i was okay." FIRE LAPS AT THE WALLS OF THE DINING HALL , destroying everything in it's path. The chandelier narrowly misses David and he feels someone push him out of the way , harshly just before it makes contact with the marble floors. HE PUSHES HIMSELF UP INTO A SITTING POSITION, a piece of glass has lodged itself into his leg , resulting in a sharp pain that slides through him like a knife. "Yes. I'm bleeding." Words are nothing more than observant , hands reaching out to touch the sticky mess. How far in it's embedded itself , he has no idea - but David is fairly certain it's going to be impossible to stand up. HE CAN FEEL KONSTANTIN REACHING FOR HIM & doesn't bother to object. Instead , he wraps his arms around his friend , letting him take his weight so he can get off the floor as the fire starts to spread.
