❝ you know what I’ve always wanted to try? building an igloo. ❞

“Wait, are you serious?” Daehyun stopped his hand that was holding a pretzel before it could reach his mouth. The statement that had come from Theodore had been that powerful. “I’ve always wanted to try building one too!” he continued with obvious excitement. He loved architecture, otherwise he wouldn’t have made it his field of study. And because of that, he had tried to understand as a child how some things were built, how they could hold up so well. He couldn’t exactly build a pyramid, but an igloo was not completely out of the equation. It couldn’t be that hard right? Surely they could build one even though they weren’t living in the North.

“Oh my god, we should totally try. What’s made you want to build one?”

❝ okay, who spiked the eggnog?! ❞

as an unspoken rule, yujin was never invited to the company parties of strefa99 employees. that was how it’s been, and he thought that was how it will always be.

of course, being the director, he gave them permission to host the event in the company building. often, for holidays such as christmas, he gave a sizeable sum of his own money for his assistant to spend on food and giveaway items, but that was about as up-close and personal as he got.

but this year was different. this year, his photography intern had somehow done the impossible feat of convincing him to come, and now yujin was drinking and laughing like there was no tomorrow.

in fact, he positively giggled at theodore’s words, his eyes morphing into joyuous slits.

“it wasn’t me!” he proclaimed, until another fit of giggles overtook his being and he had to lean back to prevent himself from falling off his seat.

perhaps yujin was having too much fun, with pouring a whole bottle of rum into the eggnog like it was an innocent prank. perhaps tomorrow, whilst nursing his hangover, he would cringe at his own actions and wish the ground would swallow him whole. perhaps, while this event was fresh in his employees’ minds, he would have to endure random bouts of teasing for a whole month or so.

but goddammit, he only allowed himself to loosen up once in a while. maybe it’s about time he attended these parties more often.
