thinking about the differences and similarities between aradia and dave and their doomed selves.......................... dave walking on a constant tightrope to keep himself and his friends on the alpha timeline, doing everything he can, giving up his personhood, walking over his own corpse time and time again, aware that one wrong move dooms them all meanwhile i know aradia was also aware of this but doesn't seem to care, partially cus of being a dead robot sure but also maybe because their doomed selves function in different ways. dave's act as a warning and safety net for the alpha timeline, they show him what he has to do to keep the alpha timeline safe aradia's are a tool, a weapon, the more of them there are the stronger she is which makes me think its likely that unlike dave, during the trolls session aradia didn't try and stop any doomed timeline offshoots. i don't think shes the type to have Encouraged them, actively dooming timelines, but it was a necessary part of her role. for them to win, they needed an army both aradia and dave also view the end result as the only important factor, the end justifies the means aradia talking to dead dave about how dave needs to be prepared to die a thousand deaths to complete their quest dave not telling jade that shes about to pump him full of lead both use it as an excuse/justification to do what they want in a way, ghost aradia wrecking random shit, but its fine, there's probably a reason for it, and if there's not, one more doomed timeline is just another doomed self to join the final battle dave's thing about being mad that no one else seems mad n how this way he at least gets to try n go for jack, even knowing hell die, he saw it happen so hes allowed to be reckless, hes allowed to let go the freedom and captivity of time you both have no control over anything, forced to follow the whims of The Alpha timeline if you want to survive, but it also absolves you of responsibility, it Had to happen this way we'd all have been doomed if it hadn't.
yall think jade gave yiffany a suit situation because it reminded her of dave?
i understand karkat on a primordial level because if given the chance to converse with myself through space-time i too would probably end up yelling at past me for being a dipshit
Quick HS thoughts, the universe that never was and its inhabitants
So I’ve been thinking..
There’s two universes linked to a SBURB session. A and B, both having two variations.
A1 corresponds to Beforus, and A2 contains Alternia. While B is Earth, 1 is where the beta teens live, and 2 the scratch reality hosting the alpha teens.
(I won’t talk about Earth C /Omega earth, nor UU & uu’s session, as it isn’t required in this train of thoughts)
The players that originate from A2 managed to create the humans’ universe (even though it has cancer, it’s still an achievement). The humans players from said universe reached a dead end and had to scratch their session + part of their universe, leading to B2.
However what I want you to focus on the fact that the beforian trolls never managed to complete the frog breading, to assure the existence of a new universe.
So my question is: what would happen if they did success to create The Speaker of the Vast Croak (frog universe), but still fail to defeat the boss during the reckoning? More specifically, which species would have been born and live on its inhabitable planet? Humans? Consorts? Carapacians? A brand new unknown one?
Can the livable planet resulting from a SBURB session naturally create an intelligent and sensitive species without requiring direct assistance (ectobiology on the planet itself) from the players?
If it’s not possible, would the beforian teens just create a new wave of trolls, in the case of winning the game and obtaining their prize (earth??). And would it just end up being a version of Alternia, with Meenah as its leader?
That’s some food for thoughts right there. What do you think?
So strange thought but if you consider it rust bloods, the caste that lives 30 years max with good conditions, have a longer life span expectation than the fuchsia bloods at the top of the caste.
Rust bloods don’t have to fight someone to the death to go to space. They get to become adults. Yes they’ll be slaves, military canon fodder, or heavily abused just cause they can be abused but they at least get to be permitted to grow up. They get to be adults if they survive the planet. They get to live a full life span for a good bit.
Fuchsias don’t. As soon as they’re barely a adult and are registered to go to space, they must meet HIC. There is no choice. They have to meet her and fight her to the death and she always wins. Fuchsias don’t get to be adults. They’re slaughtered as soon as they can be. They have no future. The only reason HIC doesn’t hang around the planet closer to come down every time a new one hatches and impale the little wriggler is because she needs someone on the home planet tending to her lusus while she’s away. Got to let them live long enough to keep the Vast Glub from happening but once they get old enough they’re no longer useful and must go. Yes fuchsias can live for hundreds of thousands of years even without the thief of life perk that HIC has that’s allowed her millions of years but none get that luxury. For a caste that can live close to a million years they don’t live the longest at all.
If I had a choice I’d rather be any other caste before a fuchsia. Yes none of them really have a good future in a figurative way of speaking but that’s the one luxury fuchsias will never have. So what if on planet they can party it up, stomp around doing whatever they want, and be tyrants for fun. They will live a shorter life than even a low blood and not just that but they pretty much have a timer of when they know their death is coming. A rust blood might live to be 28 or 30 sure but they never know when it comes. A fuchsia sees their ship off date and that’s pretty much their death date and they probably know when that date is coming by sweeps. They see a time limit on themselves. They’re the highest blood given absolute freedom and power while young at the cost they have no future ever. How depressing but considering how they act and treat everyone else... fuck ‘em.
NO BUT LIKE THE SYMBOLISM OF THIS SHIT
SHES COVERING UP HER WIFE'S COLOR
THAT'S ROSES COLOR BECAUSE SHE CANT FUCKING TRUST HER ANYMORE
SHE IS COVERING UP THE SINS OF HER WIFE WITH HER WEAPON OF CHOICE
being in physical pain over shit you write is such a hilarious phenomenon
