Today's Assignment [High School Students]

Good Morning Class, here's today's assignment:  Many of you will be graduating next year becoming a college student. Which means alot more work and staying focused. I want you to write 2 paragraphs on what you think college life will be like. It's worth 50% of your grade and will be due by Friday. I expect effort. Every high schooler is required to do this assignment in order to attend the next field trip so you better get this  assignment done.

History Assignment

Everything is or will be history. The important things are recorded in books for future high school students to pore over for assignments. That is what I want you to do. Pick an event that occurred in the last 100 years or so and write a lovely paragraph about it. 

The Spanish Influenza is a banned topic.

Hey kids, soon you will have to take on the responsibility of parenting. Well, being the parent of a sack of flour. Nevertheless, you will take care of these sacks of flour and treat them as your own. Dress them up, give them names, etc. I'll test you on a journal you should be writing daily or every two days of your experience with your "child". I will need my students to "like" this post to make sure they're free and ready to be partnered up with another student for three weeks. I still don't have a solid date to start on, so liking this would really help. Thank you and have a good afternoon. :)

Communications Technology Homework

Simple stuff this time, I promise.

The most universal way of communicating is through visuals. Some people don't speak the same language as others, making communication difficult, but everyone can understand images. Take advertising for example. If there is a picture of cheese, you can understand that the product is cheese regardless of where you're from.

Since we're learning about Photoshop, I want you guys to make a manipulated image using any kind of image as long as it isn't a single photograph. Feel free to have fun with this assignment and have it done by Monday.

Creative Writing Challenge: Summative

Without descriptive language, reading would be boring; even more boring than students already think it is. One can say 'there is a tree outside', or they can say 'there is a green tree outside, it's leaves gently rustling in the wind'. Adjectives give readers something more to go on, something more pleasing to visualize.

This weeks challenge from the English department is to use descriptive language to describe Jared Leto's eyes. If you can convince even the male staff that those eyes are attractive, then you deserve an A on the spot. Please double space your work and submit it in by Friday.
