MOONSTONE : what inspires them? why?

luca is inspired by... i don’t know, honestly? but i think if we’re talking like that inspires him to actually get out of bed in the morning it’s a sense of duty and his need to take care of the people around him. 

CAT’S EYE : what sorts of things soothes them when they get worked up?

luca honestly needs to let the emotion out. whether it’s allowing himself to scream when he’s frustrated or cry when he’s sad, it’s always suddenly better when luca can breathe again after he lets go (also henri being near him seems to do the trick as of late).

PERIDOT : are they open to new growth and change in any way, or are they resistant to it?

luca sucks at accepting that things change! one day he will proudly tell his grandchildren that “back in my day, we did things differently” and i personally hate that about him. 

EMERALD : do they suffer from any sort of mental illness?

🙊: what would my muse say their biggest flaw is? 

luca thinks his biggest flaw is that he’s not smart enough for governing, which is untrue. 

⧱: what really is my muse’s biggest flaw

luca’s biggest flaw is 100% his ability to be a doormat. he basically has lived most of his life in someone else’s shadow, and that’s very obvious from the way her carries himself. pretty much everything can be traced back to being just a bit too sheltered as a child and latching on to the first person who seemed more competent than him. so. anyways!

👾: what was my muse’s childhood bogeyman?

his own loneliness. luca grew up without people his own age near him, and therefore he grew up too quick. as a kid he had way too many imaginary friends, simply because his father was a bit too afraid to let his heir too far out of his sight. boarding school was good for him, but that feeling never really went away. also kropermann, a luxembourgish sea monster. don’t @ him.

nightmare:  what are you most afraid of?

selene’s terrified of a lot of things. she has a lot of issues with loss, stemming from andreas’ death and that’s partially at fault for the way she’s scared that everyone in her life is going to disappear one day. she doesn’t want to be left alone, which is why she’s grateful for the arrangement to kenny. the instability of her childhood also makes an appearance in her nightmares: she’s afraid she’ll wake up one day to find cyprus a thing of the past, totally overtaken by turkey.

the fool: what are your muse’s thoughts on new beginnings? does it frighten them or excite them?

i think this one is pretty easy to guess: he hates new beginnings. rowen is a creature of habit, and until he was discovered as a prince he was pretty much content with working a dead-end job in halifax and playing beer league hockey on the weekends for the rest of his life. he’s terrified that something else is going to go wrong, and that he’ll have to change everything again. to put it mildly: rowen wishes he’d never been discovered most of the time. 

the chariot: how much does your muse care about winning? are they a sore loser?

he’s got a competitive streak, but off the ice rowen is as laid back as they come. i don’t think he’s a sore loser in the classic way, but if someone where to show up and beat him just to be an asshole, rowen would not be very nice about it. 

temperance: does your muse make plans? how impulsive are they? has this gotten them into good / bad situations and how have they dealt with them?

rowen’s a fucking idiot and he pretty much does anything on impulse if it looks like it might be fun. do not agree if he says “i have a great idea!”

“it’s... i don’t know if i’d really rank kisses like that. but maybe my first? i - she was a very nice girl at boarding school. it was sweet, really. i’ve not seen her in years.”

“my... family. um, maybe the fact that they’re an ocean away? other than aleks, of course.”

“i’ve been told i dress like a kindergarten teacher, but i like to think i’ve got a classier wardrobe than a teacher. i guess my aesthetic is... like drinking fine wine and wears sweaters by the fire while it snows outside? something along those lines.”
