Andrew had ducked out of the ceremony as inconspicuously as possible. He shouldn’t have even shown up, yet he couldn’t stay away. And here he was again, dressed as nicely as he’d been in weeks at the reception of the one woman he’d actually loved. Or at least was pretty certain he did.
Either way, he tried to stay out of most people’s way. Nursing a drink in a corner, ducking away from prying eyes that might try and ask him about things he didn’t want to talk about. Eventually, he couldn’t hide any longer and was caught at the bar once again. “Someone said champagne fixes everything. I think they lied.”
everything is unfamiliar. the pomp, the strange prints... even the climate. the mixture of dryness and deceptive warmth in the moment he’d landed prickles the back of his neck. his strides are long, but tentative, scanning every detail. he is looking for something. someone. it might have been a rush of delirium that had prompted him to board that plane, but now... now he is growing more aware by the second that he should have at least worn a tie.
After the death of King Naiser of South Africa, the country began the process of preparing for the next monarch. The process was slowed down by the people questioning rightfulness of the youngest son of the late king inheriting the throne. Eventually the late king’s wish was honored and preparations for the coronation began. The coronation ceremony will be held in the city of Nongoma as per tradition.

Aisling was a big fan of the dress she had borrowed from Mimi. She positively felt like a real princess for once. The only problem was her lack of practice wearing those kind of gowns. She could barely walk. She decided to sit to end her misery but loudly knocked the chair over and fell. ❝ Fuck ! Fuck ! Fuck ! ❞ She repeated as she tried to get up. ❝ Stupid gorgeous dress.❞

the rules are mostly simple; the less revealing your dress is, the more acceptable you are. four categories: fail, not sure, barely passing, passing with flying colors. as always, if you feel like your character is in the wrong category, lmk.
“ LUCIEN ! ” she hid her mouth immediately after the exclamation: shouting indoors was NOT a good look, that much she knew even after ONE too many shots. “ are you leaving ? i’m leaving. ” no one had asked. “ it’s past midnight: you’ve won ! quite VALIANTLY, i might add. ” arnauld had left before he had so she supposed he was the victor without a question. “ do you need a ride ? my car’s waiting. ” [ &&. @luciental ]
