THE WHITMORE FAMILY HOME
the whitmore family home has been in the family since the 1800s. it’s located outside of richmond. parker grew up there, attending school and playing in the yard with his sisters and friends. his father was expected to run for office, then, but he continued to lose elections. and things were nice, then. before politics took over everything in the home when his mother went into them. after that, this house stands empty most of the time since their mother jumped from state politics to national.
although, the whitmores treat it a bit like a second camp david. when things are bad, they retreat here. often alone, parker finds that his mind is clear when he makes it back to his family home. things were good, when they were here. and now it’s almost a safe haven. the history of the home worries parker that it’s haunted, just like the white house. but he figures that if he’s not seen a whole ghost by now, he probably never will. (his sisters definitely have seen a ghost here)
features: six bedrooms with adjoining bathrooms, including the master bed and bath (each with a king size bed); kitchen (fully stocked with a personal chef amoung the staff that arrive when they schedule a stay); wrap around porch and balcony (like any stereotypical southern home); sitting room (with a grand piano and many places to sit and entertain); dining room (with space for up to twenty people); breakfast nook (the only place that parker will eat); a grand staircase (with original hardwood from the 1700s)
