i’ll admit i’m in the same boat / caught in my adolescent safety net / and where the world wants me to be / but i never use that as an excuse / to treat my friends the way you treat me
unfortunately, to me, this is indicative of a generally negative relationship. whether or not you intended for it, i think your karkat felt hurt by you in some way for reasons i can’t exactly scope out. i think he may have also had several personal problems that bled into how he saw others. however, finding a song in my mix that wasn’t solely instrumental and unreadable took me several tries - which shows that these feelings were perhaps deep down or later became resolved.
