Here’s the @homestuck-rarepair-week 2017 calendar!

Homestuck Rarepair Week is a week dedicated to pairings (and poly ships) that go underappreciated. This year, the week will be from April 2nd-8th (late and early submissions are allowed).

How can I contribute?

You can create art, music, stories, videos, or any other forms of content that you can think of. To get it featured on this blog, tag your post with #hsrarepairweek or @ us. You can also submit posts through the submission box.

Day 1: First Kiss

Pretty simple: How was the first kiss between them? Was it awkward, or was it the kind of first kiss that you see in romance movies?

Day 2: Flirting

Whether the flirting is pitch, pale, ashen or red, flirting is something that most Homestuck characters are absolutely terrible at. How do your partners of choice flirt? Are they talented romancers or are they complete messes?

Day 3: AU

An “alternate universe,” where something about canon is changed. This can be in the form of a crossover or an AU of your own/someone else’s creation. Please remember to credit the creators of AUs!

Day 4: Sadstuck

No fictional romance is complete if we don’t make ourselves cry over it. This day is dedicated to angst and sadness related to your pairing/poly, whether that angst be present in canon or is something from your brain. If you’re considering gore, please keep it on the light side!

Day 5: First Meeting

How did they first meet? Whether a canon meeting or a fanon one, this day is for the first interaction(s) between the characters.

Day 6: Frenemies

Romance doesn’t always involve love-at-first-sight. Sometimes the path to even a matespritship involves rivalry. “Frenemies” is the day to show some friendly competition or rivalry between characters.

Day 7: Free Space

You get to create the prompt! So whatever you’ve been dreaming of drawing but hasn’t been a prompt, here’s your day for it.
