Aranea and Meulin drabble

Aranea struggled to follow the motions that Meulin was performing.

“You mean, like this?” Aranea attempted to mime what she just saw.

Meulin shook her head. “No, but you’re getting close! Here, let me help!”

Meulin took Aranea’s hands in her own and slowly walked Aranea through the steps necessary to properly sign.  Aranea enjoyed the feeling of Meulin’s soft hands.

“Mew see?  It’s not so hard! You’re a real natural!”  Meulin giggled, which Aranea found adorable.  “I’m glad mew wanted to learn signs from me! It’s pretty fun to be a teacher!”

Aranea smiled.  “Well, I’ve just been so inspired by your ability to take to a new language so quickly.  I wanted to learn it too, because learning more languages will surely help my ability to tell stories.”

Meulin placed her hands on her cheeks and shook her head with excitement.  “Eeeeeeeee! Aranea that’s just too cute! I wanna share a special sign with you now!”

Meulin brought both her hands together and moved her fingers so she formed the shape of a heart and peaked at Aranea through it.  Aranea blushed, but quickly moved her hands into the same shape and looked through it as well.

Meulin practically beamed. “Now we’re heart to heart forever! Isn’t that great?”

Aranea bashfully looked at the girl across from her.  “Yes. I think it really is.”
