The TV he grew up with was unfortunately too small. He definitely nuzzled it, though. He liked how fuzzy the static was.
Since Darkners are Lightners in HTD, what is the situation with Gerson?
This is a complicated one. Design-wise, he looks 1:1 the same. Since Gerson has a grave in the Lightworld, it's not as simple as just making his Darkner form real again. I'm torn between 2 options- one is to make him the old-as-bones history teacher at the school, and he's just refusing to retire. Susie having a positive relationship with a teacher is important, and that idea gives me a lot of warm fuzzies. However...
There's something that happens in HTD where his showing up as a ghost to give her advice could make sense...
I HAD AN IDEA WHEN I SAW THE FACT THAT SPAM HAD COLORED LENSES FOR HIS VISION
so what if his eyes were really just ass since birth. And he had different types of colorblindness in each eye, which is why he needs the colored lenses. So before baby Spam got his glasses, things were just blurry and kind of dull so whenever he saw the other Addisons he didn't really think much of their bright colors because. Fucked up eyes. So he thought he was normal and they just didn't like him. Then he got his glasses and it all came crashing down, because he asked and he wasn't normal, and now he very highkey has bits of insecurity about his appearance (hiding his clipped wings and greying hair, etc)

In HTD, Spamton has always known he was different from the other Addisons. He was smaller and lacked any colorful plumage. Alongside the unlucky factor and the lack of salesmen's know-how. This put him in a severe state of insecurity that developed into an unhealthy need to be the biggest presence in every room he was in.
The glasses are new in the past five years. He has prescription glasses for farsightedness, and the colored lenses are for protecting his eyes from screen glare. One of them is just pink because it's Spamtong.
Here's him at the spa getting that treatment, though!

I'm still working out the details, but I can share the fundamentals of the AU! :D
The Darkners live in Hometown as Lightners.
Spamton serves as an emergency guardian for Noelle as a debt to Rudy while he's hospitalized in the City. They have a niece/uncle type of relationship.
Tenna adopted Susie when she was barely a teen, after his show was taken off the air. She gave him a new purpose after he lost everything. He does his best.
Tenna and Spamton were former business partners that separated due to creative differences. Spamton moved to Hometown to get away from City life and started over as the town's mailman.
Tenna moves back to Hometown (he lived there originally before going to the City) with Susie for her high school years. Tenna and Spamton realize the other is in Hometown, and it's very tense at first.
Susie hits it off with Noelle at school, and Spamton and Tenna figure out that they each have a kid (temporarily, in Spamton's case) and that said kids like each other. Tenna extends an olive branch when it comes to the girls.
The two slowly become friends again and eventually rekindle their relationship through the chaos that is single-parenting and Light World equivalents of the game's plot beats.

Jongler worked security on the set of TV Time, and still does.
Pluey is the leader of the show's live band, and still is.
Battat is Tenna's agent.
Are King and Queen's legal names just King and Queen, or are they nicknames?
