Danny lifted Caroline up to balance her on his hip, a position which they'd both grown almost too comfortable with, and she immediately fell into place, her tiny arms wrapping around his neck, and her hands clasped at his shoulder. Balancing her on one arm, he lifted a hand to knock on Anastasia's door, and waited for her to answer, glancing down at his daughter and frowning when he saw her thumb stuck in her mouth. "Cara." He mumbled, reaching to gently tug her hand away. "Out of all the toddler stereotypes, yours had to be the most unsanitary?" He joked, staring into her apologetic, yet uncomprehensive eyes. She was smart, but a lot of Daniel's vocabulary was lost on her. But then, she was only two. Shaking his head at himself, he pressed a kiss to her forehead as she turned into him, away from the cold, and waited silently again.
