Anastasia:
Stasia laughed at his response and nodded, and laughed again, “Well, if that’ what it takes, I may have to.” She said, and then shook her head at his next words. “You obviously don’t work in a daycare. It’s like highschool, all there is is drama. Besides, if I were to tell them, it would only be out of spite, or because I was annoyed, not because they’re important people that I want to share happy and important news with. You know? It would be for all of the wrong reasons. And see there you go saying they ‘apparently’ love you. Like, you don’t really believe me. You’re practically begging me to record them and prove it.” She said with a smile. The smiled faded though, when she felt his thumb, opening her eyes just in time for him to kiss her on the forehead. She couldn’t help the feeling of disappointment, and frowned as he spoke. “You don’t play fair.” She whispered as he stepped aside, and walked to her side of the car and opened the door to get in.
Daniel:
Danny shook his head, laughing. "Okay, alright, if I promise to try and believe you, will you not record those poor women?" He asked, and then raised an eyebrow. "Eh. Daycare. Police forces. Basically the same thing, depending on who you're on the force with." He said, wishing he were joking. "Goddamn, though. I don't think I could live with going through anything remotely close to high school again. But seriously, whether or not it's true, don't record them. S'just plain cruel." He smiled, rubbing her shoulder. "I appreciate you trying to boost up my ego, though." He laughed a little, unable to help it, when she looked disappointed after he kissed her forehead, shrugging. "I've gotta keep my gentlemanly reputation up somehow." He teased,

Anastasia:
She smiled and shrugged, “Well, I treat them all fairly, I just like her the best, that’s all.” She said and then laughed, “I’m just going to have to secretly record them on my phone and show you.” She said and then blushed as he said it was cute, “It’s not cute, and honestly, it’s getting a little difficult for me to not tell them that we’re together…Or that we’re, what we are. Honestly, I get the urge to just tell them that we’re married so that they’ll just back off, but then I don’t want Cara getting confused, so.” She said with a laugh. “You’re good for a lot of services,” She said with a laugh and then shook her head again, “Oh, I have a ton of tricks like those, but not for getting high.” She said, grateful that the car door was closed so Caroline couldn’t hear them talking. She laughed as he pumped his fist into the air though and smiled when he tugged her close, closing her eyes and waiting for her kiss.
Daniel:
Danny laughed. "Well, she is the best kid in the world, so I guess I can't blame you." He said, and then groaned a little, not sure whether to be flattered or embarrassed. "Don't record them, that's terrible." He chuckled a little, and then let the corner of his mouth turn upwards. "It is, though. Cute. Kinda." He said, and then shook his head. "You can tell them. I mean, if you want. They're just your friends. When I said ... keep things private, I meant, from family members, people we're constantly around, that affect our lives, to avoid any drama, you know? I don't think your co-workers will cause any pressure. No matter how much they apparently love me." He teased, rolling his eyes fondly. He blushed when she spoke again, clearing his throat softly and fighting to keep a smirk off of his face. "Funny." He teased, and smiled when she closed her eyes, reaching up to press his thumb over her lips, kissing her chastely on the forehead. "If I started to kiss you, I wouldn't be able to stop. I'll kiss you for real later." He assured her, removing his thumb and stepping away so that she could get around him to the passenger seat.

Anastasia:
Stasia squirmed into him just slightly as he pinched her, giggling beyond her control. She laughed at his comment and shrugged, “Well, they’re not horrible, but she’s my favorite. And I don’t even care that I’m not supposed to have a favorite. She’s everyone’s favorite, though. Plus you’re everyone’s favorite dad.” She said, smiling up at him, “I mean, I’ve told you before, they’re all in love with you, and they always ask about you. Except that now we’re..What we are, I tend to be a little more…Snappy when they ask about you.” She said, laughing slightly at herself. She leaned into the car as Danny opened the door, placing Caroline into her seat and strapping her in, giving her a quick kiss on the nose before standing back up and turning to Danny. “I didn’t even know what I was missing. You’ve opened me up to a world of new experiences, Mr. Clarington.” She joked. She narrowed her eyes at his next words and shook her head, “How do people come up with this stuff?” She questioned, shaking her head. She frowned at his words, and nodded, “It’s okay, really.” She said, stepping away from the car and closing Caroline’s door. “You should just come here and give me a kiss and then I won’t be sad anymore,” She said with a smirk.
Daniel:
Danny laughed as she squirmed and giggled, curling his hand at the small of her back when it moved to rest there, instead. "N'aw. Well, while I'm flattered, and while I'm sure she'd be flattered, it kinda makes me feel bad for all the other kids." He said, wrinkling his nose up, and then he snorted, rolling his eyes fondly when she brought up her coworkers again. "And as I've told you, I still highly doubt they're all in love with me." He smiled. "Cute, though. That you get snappy." He chuckled, pressing a kiss to her temple as she placed Caroline into her seat, smiling when she pecked the little girl on the nose. When she turned back to look at him, he laughed. "Well, I'm happy I could have been of service." He teased, and then laughed, shrugging. "Don't ask me, ask them. You can find anything on the internet nowadays. The other day I found out that you can use shaving cream, of all things, to remove makeup from your clothes." He said. "Now whenever Caroline plays dress up I don't have to change ten million times." He fake-fist pumped in the air, He frowned when she did, and sighed a little at her words, but let her drop the conversation and tried for a smile when she asked him to kiss her, tugging her closer to do so.

Anastasia:
She smiled when they said they all need days off, “I know, but I still missed her while I was away.” She said and then laughed at the comment about chocolate milk, “I know, I know. You introduced me to a whole new world of chocolate milk that I never new existed. I didn’t know that chocolate milk could taste that good.” She laughed with him as Caroline giggled, and couldn’t help but giggle herself. She watched Caroline’s expression and then looked back to Danny when she seemed to approve. She bit her lip and his words and nodded, “Yeah, I hadn’t even thought of that, she’s a little too fragile for a rambunctious puppy that will probably end up being three times her size.” She sighed, “But that’s okay, I’ve spent the last three days cuddling her, I’m sure she’s probably sick of me. And anyways, she can keep Phil company.”
Daniel:
He smiled back at her, pinching her hip. "You make that sound like she's the only one worth seeing." He teased. "I mean, she's obviously the best and all, but the others can't be that bad." He joked further, nudging her a little as they reached his car, and he open the door to the seat that Caroline's car seat was strapped to, moving a couple of her stuffed animals out of the way for Anastasia to place her down. He grinned up at Stasia again. "What'd I tell you? Totally the most mind-blowing chocolate milk in the world." He said, and then laughed. "You know, I had some friends in college that used to steal my Ovaltine and snort it. Well -- not friends. Friends of friends. I tried to pick smart friends." He said, lowering his voice a little during the first sentence because, even though he knew Caroline wouldn't understand what he meant, and could barely say two words around other people, he wanted to make sure she wasn't repeating anything. He nodded with a small frown when Stasia agreed about Little Girl. "Sorry, sweetheart. We could always try to Google the safety procedures for a play date like that, though. I'm sure somewhere, someone knows what to do." He tried to reason, sad to see her even remotely deflated.

Anastasia:
She sighed with relief when Caroline was willing to be held by her. She knew that the little girl liked her, but she was afraid that after not seeing her for a few days, she may need to rebuild some of the girl’s trust in her. She reached over and pulled the little girl into her arms, setting her on her own hip and giving her a little squeeze. Anastasia looked over as Daniel spoke and smiled, and then laughed as he continued, “Well, I feel bad that I haven’t been at work the last few days to see her. But I think it’s definitely the chocolate milk that gets her excited.” She said with a chuckle, leaning into Danny just slightly as they walked. “I actually had a question for you.” She said, and then looked to Caroline, “And you, too!” She said, tapping her finger lightly on the girl’s nose. “How about tonight, if you’re both free that is, we make a big pillow and blanket fort and we can hang some christmas lights and eat junk food and watch movies?” She said, looking up expectantly. “And I can bring little girl so she can get to know your new pooch?”
Daniel:
Danny smiled when Anastasia took Caroline into her arms. Normally he wouldn’t be so comfortable with someone holding her, because as much as he knew he couldn’t be the only one who ever held her, he still liked to be in as much control of her safety as possible. Still, he was somehow very comfortable when it was Anastasia holding her. Usually, he was only so comfortable when it was his mother, or even Chastity, at times. “Hey, we all need days off.” He said, lifting his hand to rest on the small of her back as they walked. “Chocolate milk, though. That stuff’s amazing. Especially when it’s made with Ovaltine.” He said, and looked over when she said she had a question, laughing a little when Cara scrunched her nose up at Stasia’s touch and giggled. He raised his eyebrows at Anastasia’s suggestion, and smiled, looking down at his daughter again. “That sound good to you, Bug?” He asked, peering down at where her eyes were hidden beneath Stasia’s hair. When he caught a tiny nod and another glimmer of confirmation, he smiled back up at Stasia. “We might have to make sure the pup’s gentle before we decide for sure on Little Girl coming, but it sounds good to us.”

Anastasia:
Giggled softly as she saw the excitement on both of their faces. “Boy,” She said, as she stepped through the door, “You two really know how to boost a girl’s ego.” She said, a large smile plastered on her face. She closed the door behind her and held her hands out towards Danny and Cara, “Could I take the littlest princess?” She questioned, looking up at Danny, “It’s been almost three days since I’ve gotten to see her. And I miss my daily dose of munchkin love.” She said, not that she wasn’t grateful for her days off this week, but still, Cara always made her days better. As did Danny. “Although, I’ve also missed some more adult love these past few days, too.” She whispered softly, nudging him lightly with her elbow as she started to walk back towards Danny’s house.
Daniel:
He laughed softly as she spoke, shaking his head a little, albeit fondly, and moved back a little as she stepped through the door, leaving her room. He glanced down at Cara when Anastasia asked to hold her, looking for approval, and when he saw a spark of willingness in her eyes, he smiled and nodded, adjusting his hold on his daughter so that she could reach for Anastasia and latch on carefully. “For what it’s worth, she’s been asking about you like crazy. You’re the only reason she likes getting up so early in the morning.” He paused. “Well, and the fact that I let her have chocolate milk with breakfast now.” He joked, crossing his arms once they were empty, and following after Anastasia once she started speaking and walking towards his driveway. He laughed quietly, looking down at his shoes for a moment before lifting his gaze again. “Well, I’ve certainly missed that, too.” He agreed, shoving his hands in his pockets.

Anastasia:
She couldn’t help but laugh at Danny’s blush and it grew deeper as Caroline began to giggle and squirm. She smiled at Danny’s words, her own cheeks reddening in response. She looked down and smiled widely, resting her hands on her hips. “Well, I’ve missed you both, too.” She said, biting her lip and looking back up, “I’d love to come.” She said softly and then stepped back to grab her coat off of the hook near the door and shrugging it on.
Daniel:
Danny smiled when she laughed, regardless of his current bashfulness, and lifted a hand to rub at the back of his neck, willing his blush to go away, especially as she said she missed them both, as well. It managed to disappear quickly, though, and he perked up when she said she’d come along — as did Caroline, apparently, as she started to bounce a little in his arms; a tiny tick she’d developed whenever she was anxious or excited about something. He stepped out of the way so that Anastasia could step outside, and nodded to his car a few blocks down. “I’ll drive.”

Anastasia:
Stasia looked up from her book as she heard a knock on her door and stood slowly. She made her way to the door and practically beamed when she saw the two faces on the other side of it. She opened the door wider, making room for them to come in if they wanted. “And how did I get to be the luckiest girl in the world?” She asked, leaning forward and giving Caroline a kiss on the cheek, and then giving Danny the same, “Getting to see two of my favorite people at my door?” She finished her question, reaching forward and squeezing Caroline’s side softly to tickle her for a few seconds before pulling her hand away.
Daniel:
Danny smiled wide when Anastasia opened the door and they were greeted with her own smile, and laughed a little, looking down at his feet when she spoke. He blushed when she kissed his cheek — as did Caroline after her turn — and chuckled when Caroline giggled and squirmed away from Anastasia's touch. "Well, we were wondering of you wanted to come to the animal shelter with us." He told her, shifting Caroline's position. "We were thinking of picking out a dog, and Caroline missed you. I ... missed you. Or, more just ... wanted to see you." He said, his cheeks turning a little darker.
