3. list the top five books you read this year. oof heartbreaker you think i read five books of my own free will this year? like not counting reading for school cos i don’t remember any of that shit. i read two books this year, as far as i know, and they were: wordslut by amanda montell (highly recommend it, a book about feminism and the english language, actually mili you might like it), and then literally on the plane ride home earlier today i read the graphic novel of the adventure zone: the crystal kingdom. i would probably not recommend it unless you (1) have read the first three graphic novels and/or (2) listen to taz balance, but uh. you do you!

maybe ill make it a resolution to read five books next year. lmao what a sad life i lead

6. what is the one new thing you discovered this year (could be a place/hobby/song etc)? ONLY ONE????????? i started watching great british bake off this year (in JANUARY!!! it has accompanied me for the entire year!!!!) and that was a top tier discovery. shoutout meg for getting me into it.

i now know how to fly alone. ive done it before but i dont remember having ever done it as an adult? i.e. not an unaccompanied minor but just a straight up grown ass woman? so now i know how to do that. also this is like related so i’m keeping it in here but like...i can just. buy plane tickets and then just take flights? that was one of those things that in my mind was a thing that Adults do. that i can’t do without Consulting My Parents. but like. no. i can actually just. do it. because i am now an adult with my own money and time and schedule. crazy.

this is less of a thing i learned and more a thing i accepted but: i do not!! like !! the taste !! of alcohol !! and i think i may never like it. people always say to me that i’ll like this drink or that drink and they’re always like “you can’t even taste the alcohol!” but I Always Can Taste The Alcohol. i have resigned myself to a life of virgin drinks and apple juice, which honestly doesn’t sound so bad.

oh i learned how to arrange music for acappella!!! that was a big one, i had been wanting to learn that for a while and i’m fucking stoked to finally know how. i am now unstoppable. just as soon as i have motivation. and more skill. but at least now i technically know how.

oh my god that’s a great question, I didn’t expect to be posting some of my art of tonight but alright let’s do it! So 16. post a picture from the beginning of the year and 17. post a picture from the end of the year.

First pic is a painting I did in march, loosely inspired by a picture I took on a road trip (I had intended to add said picture but sadly I can’t find it on my phone right now ghsksjdf)

Second picture is an abstract painting I did not too long ago, loosely based on superbloom just because I ended up using the green and orange from the album aesthetic! This one was literally just to paint and relax and I had no plan whatsoever but I really like how it turned out:)
