shoutout to all my homies who grew up reading the books
redrew that silly Snotlout bts picture because he looked sooooo bug
Obsessed with live action Snotlout's belt. Need to draw animated snot in live action Snot's clothes.
The skull 😩 deadass need that belt for myself.
i love them sm u don't understand 😭🙏
redrawn of these wonderful moments from LA shooting
Okay, that’s cute.
Think I figured out why I hate the live action HTTYD so much
Because as much as people say "The story is exactly the same!" It's not. It's a fundamentally different story, for several reasons:
Toothless is now bulkier, clumsier and acts like a dog more than a sleek, capable predator
There's a lot more emphasis on Hiccup's crush on Astrid
Hiccup himself is much less likeable and just kind of a jerk to every single person, other than Astrid
So now, it's no longer the story of a village outcast doing his best with the skills he's got. By sheer chance capturing and befriending the most dangerous species of dragon, one his peers couldn't dream of going near and surviving. And through his unconventional methods proving himself to the village, and to a girl who didn't trust him due to how she perceived him and his actions through her own narrow worldview, which expands and changes thanks to him
It's now the story of the privileged village jerk capturing a dragon that was thought to be dangerous and intimidating, but turns out to be an ugly bumbling dog. Instead of being his friend, he treats him more like a pet who's safety he puts below the reputation of his crush, who's also just kind of an asshole to him, because of him having said privelage
It's not the same anymore. Someone who watches the animated movie first, and someone who watches the live action first, will have a completely different version of the story and characters in their heads
Every time I remember it exists this movie finds new ways to suck, and that's the most impressive thing about it
live action httyd2 confirmed you know what that means…
has this been done yet? probably!
