How to train your vampire

Izotz stared at his compass once more, comparing the data with the map he had unfolded on the rock. With another tool, he checked the distance and calculated his actual position, and finally rose his eyes to the mostly clear sky. He should have time to arrive at the nearest town before dusk. By closing his hand the Sorcerimon did the same with the compass with a ‘click’, folded the map and saved everything on the outside pocket of his bag. His first-aid kit with plants, medicines, bandages and everything he could need in case of emergency.
As he got up, the doctor resumed his walk, using his staff as support. It would look like it would be a calm evening and a nice travel until reaching civilization again. The forest wasn’t bad either. In fact, Izotz could gather more than enough ingredients to craft and even sell some potions. With that, plus the money he had already saved, he would be able to have a nice dinner and even to sleep in a soft bed. Aaah, did he miss those kinds of “luxuries”. The Sorcerimon was humble in his likings and got used to sleeping on the ground as well... But sometimes he liked to pamper himself a bit if he had the chance.
But soon something would catch his attention. Izotz lowered his eyes to see what looked like crimson marks on some leaves. He stopped and squatted down to take a closer look at them. It looked like blood, and the Sorcerimon only needed to take a drop with his gloved finger and to rub it to confirm it.
The blood was still fresh, meaning the wound was recent. The Sorcerimon raised his blue eyes to find more marks around. It was a trail he could follow. Deciding to don’t waste more time, the doctor got up and followed it. He would need to be careful, probably the injured Digimon, if they were awake, would be on guard and ready to protect themselves. But, as a medic, Izotz couldn’t just ignore it.
