At the Huawei Spring Flagship Launch this afternoon, the new flagship of Huawei's P60 series was officially unveiled. The company claims that the new phone inherits its aesthetic genes, leads in imaging innovation, and recreates new peaks in the fields of mobile imaging and aesthetic design.
In terms of appearance, the Huawei P60 series continues the design philosophy of the P series, using the "Crystal Eye" design to showcase the beauty of order and continuing the classic camera layout. It is equipped with a new and sleek curved screen and has a round and smooth feel. The new phone offers four color options: Feather Sand Purple, Feather Sand Black, Fei Leng Cui, and the unique Loco White that adopts the "crystal mother-of-pearl" process, revealing every texture and color in the pure white, making each one unique.
The P60 uses a Linglong Four-Curve Kunlun Glass screen, with all models equipped with a 6.67-inch OLED screen that supports high dynamic display for photos and videos and a 1-120Hz LTPO adaptive refresh rate that achieves a 29% reduction in power consumption. In addition, the P60 is also equipped with the X-True Huawei Ambient Display technology, the first smartphone to receive dual professional color accuracy authentication from TUV Rheinland in Germany. In bright light environments, the P60 has higher contrast and presents more details in dim light environments. The P60 series has a screen-to-body ratio of 93.1% and supports IP68 dust and water resistance.
In terms of imaging, the Huawei P60 series features the industry's first ultra-spotlight main camera (48 million pixels), supporting F1.4-F4.0 ten-stage physical aperture intelligent variable, and increasing the light input by 191% compared to the industry's flagship smartphone, the iPhone 14 Pro Max. It is equipped with a new XD Fusion Pro texture engine that can clearly capture low-light scenes. The P60's other two cameras are a 13 million pixel ultra-wide-angle camera (RYYB F2.2) and a 12 million pixel periscope telephoto camera (RYYB, supporting 5x optical zoom and OIS).
The Huawei P60 Pro features the same main and ultra-wide-angle cameras as the P60, but the telephoto camera has been upgraded to a 48 million pixel 3.5x optical zoom periscope telephoto camera, with 488% more light input than the iPhone 14 Pro Max. In addition, it is the first smartphone in the industry with a three-axis sensor displacement stabilization system, which enhances the stabilization by 58%. It also features the industry's first ultra-spotlight night vision telephoto lens, with an F2.1 large aperture, the largest aperture periscope telephoto lens in the industry, which can capture super moonlight shots.
In terms of video, the Huawei P60 series supports telephoto night scene videos, super macro slow-motion photography, HDR Vivid high dynamic videos, and 4K slow-motion photography.
In terms of communication, the Huawei P60 series is the world's first mass-market smartphone to support bidirectional Beidou satellite messages. When there is no ground network signal, it can send and receive messages from the other party. The Huawei P60 series is equipped with the Lingxite Communication Technology solution, which includes three innovative technologies: Lingxite antenna, Lingxite network, and Lingxite algorithm. It uses a new antenna technology and a multi-mode low-radiation antenna, which enhances the low-frequency signal by 2dB+ and the mid-to-high frequency signal by 1.5dB+.
The Huawei P60 Pro has a built-in 4810mAh battery, supports 88W wired fast charging, charges halfway in 10 minutes, and supports 50W wireless charging and 7.5W wireless reverse charging. It is worth mentioning that it comes with an 88W charging adapter with A/B dual ports.
The Huawei P60 series is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ 4G chip and is the first to feature the HarmonyOS 3.1 system, which supports direct search from the desktop and intelligent image search.
At the launch event, Huawei also released the Huawei P60 Art "Large Cup," which was designed by Huawei Paris Aesthetics Research Institute and features an irregular camera design inspired by the island. It comes in two colors: flowing sand gold and azure blue. Compared to the P60 Pro, the camera has been upgraded to a 40MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera, while the battery has been upgraded to a 5100mAh silicon-carbon negative electrode battery, and other configurations remain the same as the Pro model.
