As a mother, there wasn’t much that made you more proud than your husband and children. Walking in a red carpet with them was surreal. The support you felt was moving.
You and Harry had tended to shelter your children from the press that followed the two of you (especially Harry) everywhere. You wanted them to be protected and safe.
This was the first exception. The four of you had been invited to a red carpet and you had accepted for the first time. You and Harry had been very present in the dressing room as you watched your children get dressed.
You knew how much your nine-year-old, Eddie, and your seven-year-old, Darcy looked like Harry, but you never really realized how much Darcy looked like you as well.
Eddie was getting his long hair styled like his father had when he was younger, and Darcy’s soft curls were being woven into a hairstyle identical to yours.
Harry and Eddie were wearing matching gray suits with floral shirts beneath. Eddie had chosen from five shirts, and chosen a blue pattern. You and Darcy were wearing long, flowy dresses that complimented Harry and Eddie’s suits.
The four of you were the best-looking family around, no doubt about it. Harry and his lookalike, you with yours.
The group of you walked down the carpet together, holding hands and smiling. A press story had come out saying that Harry’s children weren’t biologically Harry’s, but there was no denying it now.
People clapped and mused about how much the children looked alike. Darcy smiled shyly in front of the blinding lights and Eddie tried to act tough like his father, but he was secretly loving the attention.
It was over as soon as it had begun and, when you got home, you couldn’t help googling your names to see the pictures that had been captured of you and your gorgeous family.
