Friedensreich Hudertwasser was one of the most original artists of the ’900. Painter, sculptor, architect and ecologist, he explored the shapes and colors to invent a new way of conceiving the space, going beyond the rules of right angles and symmetry, and using brilliant colors. His goal was to create homes having as target the high level of livability. This new way of conceiving architecture earned him the title of father of a new art movement called trans-automatism. He designed houses in the south area of Wien, renamed Hundertwasserhaus and also turned his art in favor of the poor, by animating the houses with asymmetrical structures and colorful environments.
