Had to do a double-take on this 1900s Tuttle Psychograph advertisement yesterday, when I realized after seeing it for years that it was actually a different illustration than what appears in most of his dial plate ads, with two of the sitters trading places. I’ve been super picky about my posts this summer, and I’m not sure why. I’m always loathe to post even new pics of something I’ve posted before, even if the last one came years ago. And there’s no real reason for that given the constant short term memory churn of social media, so I’m trying to loosen that up and bring forward more artifacts that I know a ton of followers here haven’t seen before. And the Tuttle Psychograph is a great example of that. I own a few and picking a favorite is hard, but the dirtiest, grungiest one has a special place in my heart. It’s *seen* things. Ohio Spiritualist Hudson Tuttle produced these devices for a few decades, so it could be from the 1880s all the way up to the 1910s.
