Confused the moment someone wrapped their arms around his waist. Most times he would spin right around and pull away. though the second he tilted his head back and saw the female. he just sighed and stood there. Hands stayed at his sighed, and as much as he was annoyed with someone touching them. he felt slightly--- never to mention again, relaxed. Though a few seconds were too long.

" Alright, that's enough of the hug. if you wanted one that badly, all you had to do was ask--- I might have given you a better one."

❝ can you— stand still ? ❞ it bothered him terribly, to see that stray piece of white fluff in a curtain of red. something that looked like the end of a feather, or perhaps fur. still, without waiting for an answer and as soon as he could get close enough, he reached into the red-head's hair. between his index and middle finger he managed to grab a hold of the fluff. pulling it out of her hair, he felt like he could finally breathe a little better.

❝ i'm taking a wild guess, you didn't brush your hair this morning? ❞ that came out much ruder than he intended it to, though he could still save himself there. ❝ or did you happen to be in the owlery earlier? ❞ that didn't sound much better, no wonder he doesn't have friends outside of the common rooms. if anything, he wouldn't blame the hufflepuff if she decided to tell him off, or slap him. he might even need it to learn a lesson here.

"Our first date?" he questioned. now, he didn't think about it beforehand. To the point, he doesn't even remember when he asked her on a date, to begin with. But the young Slytherin looked back down at his book and let out a small sigh from his lips. "I don't know what you might expect from me, but if you are looking for something going-- or a blowout as some of the others say... I'm not the type of person."

HIS EYES stared at her for a moment. blinking, he couldn't help but shake his head a bit. all he did was burn himself a little --- just because he couldn't use his hand, doesn't mean he can't get by,. But never the less, the man couldn't help but let out a small sigh from his lips.

"I can handle myself. As a potions teacher, burning myself happens a lot more than I like to admit. you need not worry about me tonight. really you don't."

It was no use, he knew that already. But he wanted to try at least to not have her around. Personally, he wouldn't know what to do with her being around him all night. Sl many years of being alone, that was all he thought about.

" but if you are so --- inclined to be here with me all night. you can take my bed. I'll sleep in my chair."

Celes’s lost in her thoughts and barely sees what’s going on around her. She trusts Professors Figs, but on the other hand, she feels so damn PRESSURED, and she doesn’t even know why. She’s weird; she can see traces of magic other people can’t see. She wishes she could know what it means, but on the other hand, it’s so scary. 

“Sorry!” It’s her fault if the other’s books fell on the ground, so she quickly helped Moss with them, then offers her a smirk. “I wasn’t looking at all, my bad. I’m Celes, by the way. I think we’re together in Potions.”

poppy doesn't cry easy , despite what others may believe. there was some kind of notion that hufflepuffs were WEAK ; willingly allowed others to hurt them , or would run from a fight. this wasn't poppy and it was a stereotype she often tried to disprove. running into the camps of poachers to rescue animals , uncovering and destroying an illegal dragon fighting ring - - just a few fights that poppy couldn't ignore. but now , she wonders as tears , heavy and burning hot , poured from her hazel hues with little sign of stopping , that maybe if she had run away then her grandmother would still be alive.

it wasn't a fair blame to put on herself , but tonight , as professor garlick and headmaster black stood in the common room with the grave news , the guilt weighed more than a graphorn. poppy clung to the arms around her , moss undoubtedly , as rattled breaths shook and trembled out of the younger girl. ❝ this is my fault isn't it ? they recognized me . . . the poachers. did i bring this fate onto my gran ? ❞ poppy doesn't care of the presence of the adults in the room , who would be shocked and dismayed by the twos prohibited extra curriculars , but poppy couldn't care. she had to know.

truthfully he had forgotten all about that pesky little mandrake leaf that had spent no more than an hour pasted against the roof of his mouth. as fun as becoming an animagus would be , the slytherin boy was far too dedicated to other matters to simultaneously deal with one of the most detailed and tedious transfomations in the wizarding world.

❝ i accidentally swallowed it that same day. i think somehow professor garlick knew and requested that dinner that evening be soup. it went straight down with the first spoonful. i don't think i would've lasted much longer though , in all honesty. the leaf was . . . spikey. ❞
