“You know, I haven’t lost both of my parents like you, but I never met my father. He was killed, probably by members of my mom’s family,” Celes admits letting SADNESS cross her features for a short moment. She’s not even sure of why she’s telling this to Sebastian; she still hasn’t talked about it to anyone in Hogwarts, and he’s probably the closest friend she has here.

She shakes her head, before she offers him a smirk. “You wanted to know why I wasn’t at Hogwarts before ? It’s because of that. My mom was afraid our dear Headmaster would guess who I am. He’s her brother, but they haven’t talked in years. She would have never sent me here, as long as he’s the Headmaster.” But when this ancient magic appeared, she had no choice. Professor Fig came to their home in person to make sure she would come.

Celes rarely talks about herself. There are so many things she doesn’t know herself, anyway. But every time she sees Headmaster Black, she can’t help but look at him with curious, and maybe somehow hateful, eyes. He doesn’t know who she is, of course. Or does he suspect it ? She can’t say. He talked to her when she arrived, but he hasn’t done it since. And that’s good this way. Celes’ mom would be relieved to hear that. 

Hermione has noticed Celes’ gaze toward Black, though. Of course, her friend is very observant. Everyone hates Black, but for Celes, it’s somehow different. It’s only once they are back to the common room that Celes decides to explain herself. “Don’t tell anyone, please, but he’s my uncle. I don’t think he knows, and it’s better if he never knows,” she admits with a sigh.

“It never left and I’m sure you know that.” From the beginning, Celes has helped Sebastian without hesitation. She’s always willing to follow her friends. She knows they can face any possible threat. But Sebastian is on a dangerous path, and she feels like she won’t be a good friend if she doesn’t show him her concerns.

Without thinking, she quickly takes Sebastian’s hand and stops walking to make him stop, too. “Now, listen to me.” She starts, letting go of his hand now that he’s facing her. “I’m not saying we shouldn’t go. We’ll do what we need to do to save your sister, I promise.” And she means it; she knows Sebastian is going down this path for Anne. It’s his love for his sister that makes him act this way. “But we need to think first. We need to have at least some kind of plan. If you get killed, you won’t save Anne. And to be honest, I don’t want to lose you either, so let’s stop just for a few minutes to think.”

Celes is trying very hard to pretend she’s doing fine. She never wants her friends to worry about her, but the truth is that she’s not doing well at all. Maybe she should have left the Undercroft after arguing with Sebastian, but instead, she has just stayed, doing her best to not do something STUPID like crying. It’s hard, though. She hates arguing with the ones she loves. The way Sebastian talked about Lodgok was unfair. He can’t blame every goblin for what happened to Anne.

She suspects Ominis knows she’s there because she’s in fact crying and he heard her. Celes doesn’t want to speak first, but Ominis sits next to her and offers her to stay. For some seconds, she wants to push him away, but she knows it’s not truly what she wants. She sighs. “Yes, please.” She finally says, almost in a whisper. She takes a deep breath. After a moment of silence, she asks, “Do you think I’m ignorant for working with a goblin against Ranrok ?”

Celes claps her hands together. She’s not entirely used to cooking, but her friend seems so convinced that it’s a good idea that the Gryffindor just can’t refuse. Anyway, nothing is too complicated for her to handle; she has seen much worse already since she arrived at Hogwarts.

“You have something in mind ?” she asks, smirking a bit. Hopefully, Hina has something precise in mind because Celes would be very bad with suggestions. She shakes her head. “I guess I can’t be too bad at following a recipe.”

It feels so arrive, to be a new student in Hogwarts in fifth years. And there’s also the fact that she’s in Gryffindor, same house as Harry Potter. So many people say he’s a liar these days, but Celes knows he’s telling the truth. It’s something she can feel, even if it’s also a bit hard to explain. She feels quite LONELY, actually. She wishes she was better at making friends.

She enjoys the company of magical creatures, though, so she visits the Threstrals as she does quite often. This time, though, there’s another student here. Luna Lovegood. She heard that name before and saw her, but she can’t say she knows her. “I didn’t know I wasn’t the only one who enjoys their company.” She admits, offering the other a smirk. “I’m Celes, by the way.”

Celes is almost running on her way to the crypt. She’s sick of hearing Leander complain about her friendship with Sebastian. She’s pretty sure he complains about everyone who has friends from other houses, but Slytherin seems worse for him. And it annoys her very much. Her mother was a Slytherin. Sebastian is the first friend she met at Howgarts. Even Ominis is slowly becoming her friend now. 

She smiles at Sebastian when she sees him. “I hope you didn’t wait for too long.” She starts before she scratches her neck and chuckles a bit. “I needed to make sure Leander wasn’t following me anymore. You should have heard him talk about you and Ominis. I really can’t stand that guy. I told him he’s an arrogant little shit.”

Celes’s lost in her thoughts and barely sees what’s going on around her. She trusts Professors Figs, but on the other hand, she feels so damn PRESSURED, and she doesn’t even know why. She’s weird; she can see traces of magic other people can’t see. She wishes she could know what it means, but on the other hand, it’s so scary. 

“Sorry!” It’s her fault if the other’s books fell on the ground, so she quickly helped Moss with them, then offers her a smirk. “I wasn’t looking at all, my bad. I’m Celes, by the way. I think we’re together in Potions.”
