exactly! or, in the same of this particular vine, the dog seemed to fall almost sideways, so I worry that it could have hit its shoulder or back at a bad angle?? and it makes me so sad!!!!

yes exactly! There are a couple I’ve encountered that Handle Things Well (there’s a novel called Doomsday Book by Connie Willis that I recall handling things v well & being altogether historically Accurate), which makes me love them much more, but, same. I love time-travel stories, but only if they’re either Handled Well or so ridiculous that I don’t have to take them seriously (aka can suspend disbelief)
