The origin and evolution of Huffy bikes

Huffy Cruiser Bikes are bikes manufactured by Huffy Corporation, a United States-based company, established in 1928 as the Huffman Manufacturing Company. In 1887, the founding pioneer of the Huffman Manufacturing Company, George P. Huffman, acquired the Davis Sewing Machine. The company that later became a bicycle manufacturing plant.

The Huffman Manufacturing Company brand was founded in 1924 by Horace Huffman Sr. (George's Son). She began her main activities by manufacturing and importing bicycles. This operation, however, was carried out under the Dayton brand (note that since 1924 Huffman Manufacturing Company continued to manufacture and sell bicycles under the Dayton brand) and produced its first Huffy bicycle in 1892 in Dayton.
