European adder/huggorm. Ålsjön nature reserve in Hälsingland, Sweden (May 18, 2024).
the only snake with venom in sweden. Vipera Berus, called european viper/adder in english, and huggorm on swedish
Its a real cutie tbh
Its venom is also equal to the venom of a Bee sting. That is, not very dangerous, except if you get an allergic reaction to it.
Its still recommend to always seek proffesional medical care if it bites you, but, its very unlikely to actually. Harm you long term. But, apperntly getting striked by a viper hurts quite a bit so there is also THAT
The info from the picture source also mention "you almost have to step right on the body of the snake for it to strike you. its a very shy snake who rather hide from you than bite you"
So there is that too
