The current situation in particular brings up so much humiliation that he’d been hiding in the house for a while, before noticing there’s not enough water available there, and the bathtub is way too small for the size of his ‘costume’.
Hibiki drags the tentacles, that form most of his jellyfish outfit, across busy streets occupied by countless other ‘victims’ of what he supposes is another one of the absurd experiments from the scientists. He has to pause once in a while to catch breath and spare energies, but if he doesn’t find a source of water soon... he might be done for. And although he might come back, he’s not yet ready to face death with much dignity.
While sitting in a corner of the least populated area, and feeling pairs of eyes pointedly looking at him and sending vibes that make him quickly uncomfortable, Hibiki notices someone approaching. His first instinct is to yell at them not to get closer-- he could accidentally electrify them as jellyfishes are well known for that-- but when he raises his clouded eyes to the person, he recognizes a familiar face he hadn’t seen in a while. And fortunately, it’s not someone he’d call unpleasant.
“... Hugh,” he says, struggling to stay calm. “Sorry that you’re seeing me in such a state. It’s Hibiki, in case you’re not recognizing me.”
