With a few books in hand, and one open on said pile, the Spirit was making the mistake to walk around the same time as she was trying to read said book, although unknowingly it was upside down.  She was doing good so far dodging people, as it was something that she had gotten used to with the kids from her first job, but something had caught her attention, causing her to look up, only she stopped for a moment and backed up to make sure what she saw was really, only to run her back into someone! With a few notes coming from her and trying to make sure she didn’t drop her books, she tiled her head backwards to look at the person before trying to look as sorry as possible at the person.

     Lucas found himself among the hustle and bustle of the sector. There was just so much here; none of it being familiar. It was completely incohesive. It was almost over-stimulating how much culture seemed to reside in such a place.

    The boy continued on his way, paying little attention to what laid before him, instead his gaze remained fixated on some peculiar fixtures in the distance. Of course this came with it's own repercussions as his foot caught on that of another, causing him to, as per usual, to fall flat on his face. Although it is expected from the boy at this point the fall was relatively brutal. Worst of all his all mighty Mystical Stick fell before him glistening brightly as it's owner slowly picked himself up.

    “I'm sh-sho showwy!” He frantically apologized to the one he tripped over, rubbing his nose. Ow, that stung. Actually, it felt a bit odd... As Lucas looked down to his palm he had noticed his nose had begun to bleed!

    …Well, it was no biggie. Honestly the kid was more concerned about the second party here. As he looked up at the man he became a bit intimidated by his overall demeanor...

     “Am showwy mishter, a-ah you okay?” He apologizes, looking up to Hugh with sincere, yet bothered, eyes.

          [ ❄ ] -- Usually he’d be a little more polite than this, but it seemed that he was distraught, given how urgently he tapped the other on the arm (for that was, unfortunately, as far as he could reach).

          “E-excuse me, sir, are you police, here? I just arrived, and I’m looking for the nearest medical office...”

          It seemed that the apparent child needed it, too--he looked extremely distraught about...something-or-other.

There was no way for Simon to object to Rosa’s decision to bring the problem child (or rather manchild) under their roof. For one, the roof was inarguably her’s to begin with (though if he cared enough he could probably make up a genuinely persuasive argument as to why the decision should be democratic). For second, after all the stress she had to endure recently he was willing to cave this once if it would bring her even the smallest comfort.

Those stipulations aside, he absolutely hated the idea of having to come home to Hugh O’Connor every day. After a trial was adjourned it was easy to forget about the witnesses involved in the case the following day, but Hugh’s little stunt in court always stuck out as exceptionally grating. To wind up living with him proved that fate had a personal vendetta against Simon. Still, when life gives you lemons you make lemonade - and to make lemonade you wring the life out of the lemon until its an empty husk.

Maybe some fun could be had here.

One day without warning, Simon snuck up behind Hugh and placed a hand on his shoulder, squeezing it way too aggressively. “Fancy this, O’Connor. Us living under the same roof. Rosa sure has taken quite a shine to you. Maybe there’s something past that gormless personality of yours that I can’t see. We should remedy this, shouldn’t we?”

"I'll bite down even the most sarcastic person with snarky remarks and beat them at it, I don't care." 'Well, it seems an accurate depiction because Ii don't think either me or him ever could one-up you in those quip competitions, Rosa, hah.'

“Mm… solid six. I’m not that smart, kiddo, just stubborn. You’ve seen how often I cut off an argument with a threat, that’s a pretty good sign for when I’m out of juice.”

"Both of these are pretty important, so it's a hard question for me to figure out myself - but Truth or Ideals?"

Talk about tricky.

“... ideals. Both those things are important, don’t get me wrong. But if we don’t have our personal values and our dreams we don’t have anything.” A world composed solely of cutting, unyielding truths sounded empty and devoid of warmth-- not a place Rosa ever wanted to go.

Not guilty. "The defendant pleads innocent to this court." Slandered by her own lawyer? The gall.
