wanted to make a fakemon themed around Aibos and the owner and maintenance culture around them bc im really emotional about robot dogs
we have- Pristine Cirbark and Damaged Cirbark (steel/normal)
Desc: These friendly pokemon were created as ideal companions; unfortunately, production has stopped, and many of them are beginning to fall into disarray.
Pristine Cirbarks can evolve into Howlete if they reach the correct level while there is a Damaged Cirbark also in the team. When Pristine Cirbark has evolved, Damaged Cirbark with disappear from the team.
Howlete (steel/psychic) Desc: In attempts to keep Cirbark running, its frame has been reinforced. However, the aging inner workings remain the same.
Damaged Cirbark can only evolve into Diebo if they have a high enough level of love with their trainer.
Diebo (steel/ghost) Desc: It lives on through cobbled attempts at repair. It is believed that it remains functioning out of unwavering love for its trainer.
i wanted them to be both tragic and touching- Howlete can only be created and live on through sacrifice of another Cirbark, and Diebo cannot help falling apart but the love of its trainer is what keeps its poor broken body going, its soul forcing a shattered body to keep going
wanted it to be clear that neither happen out of cruelty or neglect- the poor little robopups are just starting to fall apart, and trainers have different ways of trying to save their friends
