Hello, my name is Charles and for the most part, on good days, I like to think of myself as a writer. For a long time I've wanted to have a blog of some kind but I've never been sure of what to blog about...or how. Do I follow the "rant about everything I see" convention? Do I review video games and books as if my not-at-all-expert opinion mattered to anyone? The ideas and internal rejections went on and on.
Until now, or well... a few weeks ago.
For a few years now I've been involved with a thing called "Hull Breach!" which is a science fiction based card game set in an original science fiction galaxy. While I've helped with the games design a bit from time to time the biggest thing I've done is help build the galaxy its set in considerable.
The fictional setting is something are small but growing base of fans have shown appreciation for, but to the frustration of my ego, it hasn't always seemed to get as much attention as the art, or card templates or game mechanics. Now, I suppose that's fair, it is a card game with a fictional universe, not a fictional universe with a card game.
I'm sure you've guessed where that's going....
Yup, so to assuage my ego and promote the fictional side of Hull Breach!, and share the agonies of trying to break into the card gaming industry. In time I know those agonies will be joined by triumphs. I know Tumblr is very much a visual experience I'm going to make it a point to show off some of the fantastic visual art that is so integral to Hull Breach!
Now if you want to know about this game I'm talking about it you can go here:

Most of my handiwork and that of my buddy Neil can be found in the "Universe" section on that web page.
As soon as I can, I'm going to tell you guys a little about how I ended up involved with the creation of a card game.
