This modern AU should have existed...

Azir is a leader of a big company and Xerath is his vice president. Who totally once tried bettering the working conditions by comatosing Azir, but they’re on good terms now. -ish....

/Azir ans Xerath lore appreciation post. (Riot please give them more stories...) 

I just love their story, murder me on this spot, just do it so my emotions don’t make me suffer every free second of a day.........

i was not joking around.

In my mind Azir was rather easy going as he never had that pump his brothers had about being the emperor and behaving in such way. And while Xerath was kind of a stuck up bookworm with a mix of hate and fear towards everyone (which is reasonable, boy had like the worst time being treated like trash by his last master and by Azir’s father and the majority of brothers even if he’s an educated trash), Azir was a pure curiosity and imagination. He was an emperor, he genuenly tried to be a serious guy the country needed him to be, but befor all the weight of his duties and his promise fully came down on him, he was a cheer with a pinch of excitment, a shameless flirt and overall sweet guy. Azir was probably the only person Xerath accepted to be close with and trusted to the full extend. Their period of pre-emperor and the beggining of emperor time was kind and quite happy.

We also headcanoned Xerath to be of Ixtal origins (like his grandparents?) (as much as I dislike Ixtal...), that explains his white hair and natural ability to learn languages, history and magic to the highest extent.And he’s pale because of his magic and tendency to stay indoors. He wasn’t as pale when he was young. He was quite bullied for his apperance in the childhood, but Azir is trying to insure him he’s unique and beautiful because he is.
