This is a BABY ! They're a tiny astro mechanic, and a damn good one, doing their part for the Resistance ! They can speak in Space Sign Language, their best friend is Poe Dameron and also they are babi and i love them.

(Seriously tho, human BB8 would be freaking adorable. Also the crew mentionned during the TFA tour that bb8 was neither girl nor boy so non binary BB8 it is !)

Modern AU Human Droid Headcanons

–C3PO aka Cee Threepio–

1) British Indian, great grandparents moved to England from India ages ago and he was born somewhere near London;

2) Studied in an decent university and took a course in sociology and languages;

3) Was hired to be Anakin’s tutor. Served somewhat as butler because he was fond of Shmi Skywalker;

4) Met R2 during his time as Anakin’s tutor and became friends with him after a few odd encounters;

5) Eventually left the Skywalker family when he was no longer needed for his teaching qualities and began to work as Bail Organa’s personal butler and translator;

6) Married to R2, not very public about it. Is a flustered baby when R2 is explicit about what they do in private;

7) Is the stressed anxious parent.

–R2-D2 aka Artoo Deetoo –

1) American, has some family in Texas but doesn’t talk about them much;

2) Has a few diplomas and a flight certificate but opted with a mechanic’s job rather than being a full time pilot. Will take up private aviation jobs sometimes;

3) Met C3PO during the other’s time as a tutor. Became quite fond of the nervous man and eventually befriended and began dating him. Was the one to propose;

4) Became Bail Organa’s personal pilot before the man passed away. Later became Luke Skywalker’s piloting tutor and copilot;

5) Was the one who suggested adopting children. Immediatly chose a troubled teenager and a young non-binary child as perfect fits for their oddball family;

6) He’s the cool enabler parent.

–K-2SO aka Kaytoo So–

1) Afro-Asian, came from a very strict family with several aunts, uncles,sisters and brothers. Had trouble getting along with most of them due to being somewhat rebellious. He was the youngest;

2) Due to some legal actions he was forcefully removed from his family and put under the foster system. Was problematic so he never got picked out for adoption;

3) At age twelve he was adopted by C3PO and R2-D2 along with BB-8, another problematic child;

4) Has good intentions and is quite smart, however he is pretty temperamental and impatient and often gets into fights;

5) Was befriended by Cassian Andor, the next door neighbor’s kid;

6) Hit a massive growth spurt at 16 and became the tallest kid in the neighborhood. A go-to-guy when you need a lightbulb change;

7) Ultimate Sass King;

9) Got a degree in mathematics and a job at Chirrut and Baze’s café. Is Cassian’s exasperated roommate in uni and is taking another course in sociology (He wants to have more diplomas than his two dad’s combined);

8) Sometimes goes out with Bodhi to peoplewatch in the park. Will get distracted by dogs and pet all of them. Might cry if he sees a really big fluffy dog, won’t admit to it;

9) He’s the rebellious son.

–BB-8 aka Beebee Eite–

1) Japanese, orphaned at age 4 because of a house fire. Developed a severe case of pyromania and became non-verbal due to trauma;

2) Was a problematic child in the adoption system so was often overlooked. Befriended K-2SO during their time in the same orphanage. Was eventually adopted alongside him by C3PO and R2-D2;

3) Is non-binary, doesn’t get too much shit about it at school due to being likeable (Their friends and brother will fuck up anyone who dares mess with them about their gender);

4) Knows how to speak Mandarin, Japanese, sign language, morse code and binary. Often stays silent and simply grunts or whistles in agreement. Loves to write in binary when talking to their older brother;

5) Best friends with Poe Dameron, Finn and Rey;

6) The cute kid of the family.
