Okay, but imagine a romance novel where an elven princess and an adopted human prince are forced into a blind arranged marriage for the benefit of the two kingdoms. The two both run away and meet each other in a tavern or something, and become travel buddies. The guy starts to fall for the elf girl, hard. And elf girl starts to notice all the cute little things that human guy does that make him adorable. Eventually, their both madly in love with each other while traveling, but neither knows about the others love. Some stuff happens, girl saves guy, guy saves girl. Girl saves guy again, and guy kisses her. They tell each other that they're royalty, and then return home to marry.
