Steve is very grateful and happy to have his job at the little convenience store/gas station at the base. This working man has a family to provide for, after all! He takes his job very seriously, and you can be certain he'll always greet you with a smile!

HEY EVERYONE! MEET HUMAN STEVE!

Human Steve is an animatronic OC I created for @driftingmoonmenace's Falling Stars AU and you can learn all about him below:

Human Steve (or simply Steve) is a Sun animatronic built shortly after the celestial animatronics started being developed as two separate entities. He was just your typical Sun model going about his business with his best buddy Moon at their Pizza Plex located in Minneapolis, and he was happy as could be.

Unfortunately, one day while taking out the daycare trash, Steve lost his footing and ended up falling down the trash chute and was subsequently taken to the dump with all the garbage of the Pizza Plex.

His memory banks were damaged and corrupted in the fall, leaving him to come-to in a landfill with no recollection of who or where he is. All he knows is that his clothes are covered in gunk and that simply won't do! He can't be messy! So, he gets up and starts searching for a change of clothes, eventually coming across a horrendously tacky 1970's suit, which thankfully happens to be cleaner than his old clothes.

Then he begins wandering his new surroundings in search of answers to his identity.

He comes across a night guard at the dump watching an old 1950's sitcom and he becomes enthralled with the show, particularly with a neighborly character; a middle-aged man named Steve. He identifies greatly with the friendly fella, and adopts the name and persona for himself before setting back off into the landfill to find a briefcase just like the one TV Steve carries.

From this point on he is of the belief that he is just a human man, doing human man things, just like his television counterpart.

And then he begins to roam, eventually making his jolly way across the country to a little hideaway in the Mojave desert at the suggestion of a human named Izzie who he meets one night at a roadside diner.

It is at the base, rummaging through the dumpsters for any neat-o items, that he finds a series of advertisement standees once used at the general store decades ago, tucked into storage before inevitably being thrown away like so much garbage. Steve can't bring himself to leave them there all covered in gunk, so he takes them to his new home and makes them his family.

Everyday he goes to "work" at a run down, vacant office space to "earn money for his wife and kids" until Sydney notices him doing this and offers him a real job as a clerk at the convenience store where he is a happy and friendly face for every customer who comes in to peruse their wares.

He still believes he is human despite looking so similar to all of the animatronics around him. They all take to calling him "Human Steve," though almost never to his face. They think he's just so quirky, this animatronic who thinks he's a human... isn't it strange?

If it's not too much of a bother I'm still hooked on Steve and was wondering how he is doing as of lately?, and perhaps to sprinkle us with a few more facts about this sweetie little character maybe? 🙏🥺 I don't have much to offer, all I have is this chip, a penny and a napkin /ref

Human Steve is doing just fine! He's working very hard at his job to provide for his family. They're all doing swell!

As for more facts about Human Steve, hmm... let's see. 🤔

His favorite color is blue, just like his cardboard standee wife's eyes.

Human Steve doesn't actually work for money (not that he really needs it.) In fact, he doesn't even have a firm grasp on the concept of what money actually is. All he knows is that a husband is "supposed" to go to work to make a living for his wife and kids. Any actual understanding about what that means is fully lost on him.

That doesn't mean he doesn't get paid. He's allowed to take anything (within reason) that he might need from the shop. As far as he's concerned, he doesn't need anything more than his family, but he has taken a few trinkets home for them when something catches his eye.

And let's see... hmm... one more fact about Human Steve...

Oh! He calls Equinox "Sheriff" based on the fact that he is the little town's main protector. For this same reason, he calls Oberon "Deputy." Whether or not they like this, I can't say.

Does human steve know how babies are made

He does NOT.

Unfortunately, the only part of Human Steve that may have even remotely known about 'the birds and the bees' became corrupted and lost when he fell down the garbage chute.

Steve's only real knowledge of the world comes from a 1950's sitcom, and they weren't exactly big on nationally televised sex-ed back then. Especially given that he identifies as the neighbor character whose homelife is never actually explored on the show other than in passing, casual conversation, Steve has no basis for what an actual marriage entails, and that includes how babies are made.

Don't worry though, there's someone who is very eager to teach him. 😉
