I went with my mom to a smoking store for the first time today, not for me, but one of my aunts friends wants cigars as a gift, so we were doing her a favor.
Anyways, we collectively have no knowledge in cigars, but ended up at the store at the exact same time as the Local Cigar Expert™️ and got a whole crash-course in them!
Apparently the ones from Nicaragua are the best. Who knew?
It’s like, okay, we all hit points in our life where we’re like “okay, I’m alone. I’m all I have” and then we look around and someone is tapping their foot to the same song at the coffee shop as you. And someone orders an extra fried egg at breakfast as well. And someone laughs at the stupid pun you said during a meeting. We all feel alone sometimes, but it’s important to remember that there are these touchstones, these paths out, where you can have fleeting connections or you can have a lifelong friendship. Our capacity to love and let love in always leaves room for us to not be so alone. One day you can find yourself looking at your best friend and saying “remember when you and I went for the same parking space at work. I’m so glad that happened.”
