The Three Shapeshifter Types #3: Liquid.

The Liquid Shapeshifter is the most flexible of all shapeshifter types. Liquid Shapeshifters often demonstrate an ability to change into any living or inanimate thing, with little regard to a differential in mass between that thing and their default form. Often the Liquid Shapeshifter will revert to a liquid state between shape changes, to gain access to areas a solid form couldn't, when at rest or when injured or killed. While they can use their ability for disguise, they will often use it in offensive or defensive ways, such as turning limbs into weapons or other defenses. While some with liquidic abilities can change into highly complex forms, often their abilities are limited to cosmetic changes only, making it difficult to fool things like blood tests or DNA scans or making it difficult to change into things like machinery or chemical compounds. The viscosity of the shapeshifter's liquid form can vary, with some being a thick gelatinous material, while others might be nearly water.

The Three Shapeshifter Types #2: Rubber.

The Rubber Shapeshifter is one of the more pliable of the three shapeshifter types. The name is derived from the "rubbery" plasticity this type of shape changer typically exhibits. Often the Rubber Shapeshifter opts to stretch, bounce or otherwise make itself malleable, rather than emulate a specific person or thing. And when they do change into specific objects or lifeforms, they frequently maintain the color scheme they had in their default form. Seemingly unable, or unwilling, to alter their coloring, the Rubber Shapeshifter usually uses their ability more as a toolkit, than for subterfuge or infiltration.

The Three Shapeshifter Types #1: Humanoid.

The Humanoid Shapeshifter is the most basic of the three shapeshifter types. Typically they can only shapeshift into other people or person shaped objects. While their mass can seemingly change, this is limited in scale, and they basically only use their abilities to disguise themselves as other people. Although some Humanoid Shapeshifters have shown an ability to morph into smaller lifeforms, such as dogs or even large birds, this is rare. While this power has limited use cases, it is still versatile enough to be considered invaluable and makes the user potentially dangerous.
